The Team
Jenny Magic is the founder and CEO of Better Way to Say It, a content marketing firm based in Austin, Texas. Jenny and her team specialize in helping companies get to know their target audience and craft tailored website and social media content. Better Way to Say It also partners with web developers to integrate content strategy early in the web design process, keeping projects on time and under budget.
Prior to becoming a full-time entrepreneur, Jenny honed her talents implementing full-scale marketing plans, successful product launches, and website redesigns as marketing director for companies of all sizes, from successful start-ups to 90-year-old brands.
Jenny loves to speak and teach about online marketing. She is a contributor to the Content Marketing Institute, a speaker/ contributor to All Content Matters – Austin, and a member of the BlogathonATX advisory board. She serves on the board of the Association for Women in Communication – Austin Chapter, and served as President-Elect of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) – San Diego Chapter. She is also a visiting instructor at the University of San Diego, teaching courses on Content Marketing and Branding Strategy in the Corporate & Professional Education department. In 2012 she is launching a hands-on coaching series to bring content strategy to small businesses.
Her professional background includes Inbound Marketing Professional Certification, Social Marketing Associate Certification from the eMarketing Association, and a certificate in Direct Marketing from the DMA. When she’s not extolling the virtues of clear, compelling content Jenny can be found training for her first triathlon in sunny Austin, Texas. As the marketing coordinator for Better Way to Say It, Lindsay Ostertag is the glue that holds the team together. In her role, she manages client relations, runs the back office, coordinates client marketing schedules, and keeps things on track.
Prior to joining Better Way to Say It, Lindsay worked for the Fort Worth Public Art program, assisting in the artist selection process for the Northside Community Center mural. She also supervised the student helpers during the week-long fabrication workshop.
Lindsay holds a degree in strategic communication from TCU’s Schieffer School of Journalism and a minor in art history as well. She is a member and active volunteer for the Association for Women in Communication, Austin Chapter. During her free time you can find her in one of Austin’s many museums and galleries or throwing the tennis ball for her one-year-old puppy, Emma. You can read more about her background on LinkedIn.
CTO Ted Ehr is a technologist with a passion for technology-driven marketing and SEO. He has a degree in Information Technology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and has been working as a computer consultant since 1994.
In 1995 he kick-started his passion for marketing on the internet, creating one of the first community-based websites, offering continuing education. Later he migrated to online management for a major consumer goods manufacturing company, launching several websites during this time for the booming action sports industry.
Later Ted built and maintained the NASDAQ INTERNET in 2000 trading floors in San Diego and has been a consultant to a wide range of businesses. He is a technical expert in Keyword Research, Landing Page Optimization, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay-Per-Click advertising, web copywriting and the content management platform WordPress.
